Cookie Making

So here is my first attempt at cookie decorating. Keep in mind that I dont have any tips, so piping is an issue and the colours are just normal colours (hence the red is pink!) Thought I could use the blog to document the progression (hopefully!) of skills. I am hoping to send the kids cookies for their birthdays but Thomas I dont think i will have the skills by yours. I will send you something special when the skills are up.

Here is an overview of what I did. Basically just did a few things to practice some skills like outline and flooding.

The unusal looking flower in top right corner is one that Chase wanted. He wanted an 'angry' green flower. The yellow colour was the only one with any sort of decent tip on it so thats why everything is outlined in yellow. The big gingerbread men are too big for the kids to eat so I made little ones too. But they were really hard to decorate because of the lack of tips. :)

And yes I missed my photo on Saturday (thats the deadline for the photo for the 'week' in my head) but this was the one I was going to post. Jett got a set of games as a (very) late birthday pressie. Here they are playing checkers. Who knows what the rules were.

And then playing snap.

And really I need something to 'sign off' with. Will have to think about that one.
